Amanda Grant is a Charlotte local who graduated with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Health from Winthrop University. She has trained in many movement forms, but especially enjoys modern and jazz techniques. After college, Amanda received the opportunity to dance, choreograph and teach with Caroline Calouche and Company while working as an instructor and eventual studio manager at MoveStudio Charlotte. Locally, Amanda has participated as a dancer and choreographer in various Charlotte events such as the Charlotte New Music Festival, Loose Leaves Showcase, BOOM Festival, Women’s Showcase and Wine and Dance Showcase. Outside of Charlotte, Amanda has traveled to Sorrento, Italy for the StaibDance Summer Intensive where she studied, modern, ballet, gaga technique, and Batsheva Reparatory. She has also participated as a dancer at the SARUS festival in Wilmington, NC, as well as the Greensboro Fringe Festival. She has had the opportunity to dance and choreograph with multiple choreographers such as Jennifer Archibald, Valerie Ifill, Breanne Horne, and The Mark Dance Company. Currently, Amanda works as the Live Entertainment Operations Supervisor at Carowinds where she is able to help create, cast, and manage various Carowinds entertainment shows and attractions. In her downtime Amanda enjoys playing video games and practicing aerial arts.
