Two women with the same name, same career, and a mutual love of pole came together to form Simil – a word used to compare two alike-but-different things. Just as the name suggests, Jess and Jess found many similarities between themselves but also recognized they came from very different backgrounds. They use their different experiences and strengths to create unique routines that blend elements of Latin dance with various styles of pole dance, while also placing their trust in one another to perform complicated tricks on the pole. By bringing these pieces together, Simil strives to develop original performances that are as authentic to themselves as they are entertaining to watch.
