Sapphire discovered bellydance with a mommy friend. They went to class as a way to reconnect with their selves after having children. Because of that class, she allowed herself to fall in love with Dance again, to do something just for her. She has taken classes both from that first teacher and from guest teachers from around the world. She then started running practice sessions with her fellow students, lead technique classes, filled in for her teacher and formed a troupe.
Sapphire's love of choreography and encouragement of her dance-mates led her to teach classes and write a book on how to choreograph. She has had the privilege to teach classes at CPCC in addition to her personally arranged classes. Her greatest hope is for all women to experience the joy and freedom of dance.
